When I was little, we had a garage that had a fence behind it. Between the fence and the garage there was some scrap wood that ran the whole length of the garage. There was just enough space behind there for a little one to hide. I know it was not a secret, everyone knew about it, but it wasn't always the first place one would think to look. I used to go there when I wanted to be alone.

Santa's Sleigh
I made several of these for Christmas this year and filled them with candies. They made nice little inexpensive gifts.
